Null Object is a hybrid boutique-gallery where artists and designers periodically “take over” the space with immersive installations. Each show leaves behind a limited-edition artifact, whether wearables or homeware, gradually accumulating into a sort of tiny, niche museum gift shop.

2 LIZARDS

Null Object’s inaugural show opened with a takeover by 2 Lizards, the director duo of artists Meriem Bennani and Orian Barki. It ran from September 27, 2025 through November 1, 2025, the show marks a defining first gesture for the concept space.

The artists have filled the space with a floor-to-ceiling installation of posters from their film Bouchra, an animated, semi-autobiographical work exploring the relationship between a Moroccan mother and her queer daughter. The poster wall functions as a living installation from which visitors may take a print. Like a lizard regrowing its tail, the display will be replenished throughout the opening. The show coincides with the U.S. premiere of Bouchra at the New York Film Festival.

To mark the occasion, Bennani and Barki have designed a limited-edition martini glass—available at the opening and later releasing online as a collectible ode to the spirit of 2 Lizards.
