Null Object is a hybrid boutique-gallery where artists and designers periodically “take over” the space with immersive installations. Each show leaves behind a limited-edition artifact, whether wearables or homeware, gradually accumulating into a sort of tiny, niche museum gift shop.

GAUNTLETT
CHENG

Null Object presents Weddings, Parties, Anything*, an installation by Gauntlett Cheng, opening November 15, 2025. For their show, designers Esther Gauntlett and Jenny Cheng stage their most recent collection as an aftermath: a post-party tableau of mannequins tangled in layers of messy fringe, corsetry, and lace like the morning after a wedding where the guests never left. These dresses— part bridal and part debauched heirloom— blur the line between love’s ceremony and its residue, between craftsmanship and collapse. The collection veers between obsessive craft and sincere tradition, resulting in clothes for celebrations that are deeply personal and a little indulgent.

Gauntlett Cheng collaborated with Erika Ceruzzi to create a long-sleeve dark grey tee featuring a deconstructed logo embroidered in silver thread.
